Typical Spanish/German

Dear all,

Let's start a new activity about how we see our neighbours. What do you think about people from the countries we’re going to visit, people who we are living with in a few months?

We suggest you to watch these two videos, one of them related to Spain and the other one to Germany:

Typical Spanish (in Spanish):

Typical German (in English):

Pupils from Germany should comment first video (Typical Spanish) and Spanish pupils should comment second video (Typical German). What are you expecting about the country you are going to visit?

    Hey you all!
Our job today is to write what we think about spain. Of course first we thought about the beach, the sea, sunshine,...Than we thought about 'las tapas''el bocadillo' 'el flan' ... a lot of delicious food.
The next point we imagine are tipical things like 'los toros', but our opinion is differently.
We don't know much about spain already, so we hope to find out more about it.
What I want to see is Barcelona... I'm really looking forward to this!
And I'm quiet curious on you and my guestfamily and I can't wait to meet you all!

    Lovely greetings from Bavaria!

  7. Hi Susi !:) i should tell you that in my case i have never seen ''los toros'' and the Catalonia Parlament has prohibed them here. I hate it because i don't find that killing an animal could be fun.

  9. Laia I think the same as you!!!
But I think that there are more typical customs here in Catalonia for example our typical dance is "la Sardana" http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sardana
Other typical custopms here are "els castellers" I like it really much http://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Castells

  10. hey you 2!
I like to hear that. (:
I've already heard about castellers. In my opinion it's fantastic and awesome to build such high human towers. great spectacle!

  11. yes i agree with you Júlia. We have different customs that in Spain. We also celebrate the day of love the 23th of April all because of a legend : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/St_George%27s_Day
that's the link in english but you must go to the content where it says Spain and then to Catalonia.
great you like it Susi :)
